JSA tabs Hull as Assistant Director

The Joplin Sports Authority and the Joplin Sports Authority Board of Directors is pleased to announce the addition of Craig Hull as its new Assistant Director.

 Hull, 35, comes to the Joplin Sports Authority from the Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau in Pittsburg, Kan., where he has served as CVB director for the past five years. During his tenure with the Crawford County CVB, Hull worked to brand and market Crawford County as a sports destination hosting numerous state, Midwest, regional and national level championship events.

 Prior to working for the Crawford County CVB, Hull was an assistant on the staff with the Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Joplin Sports Authority. He spent eight years with The Joplin Globe as a sportswriter before transitioning into the travel and tourism industry.

 “Mr. Hull brings experience and enthusiasm to our staff,” said Jim Frazier, Director of the Joplin Sports Authority. “He has a presence in this industry. We look forward to working with him.”

 The Joplin Sports Authority is a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation with the mission to attract, promote, provide and support local, state, regional, national and international sporting events to the Joplin area, which will provide economic impact and enhance the quality of life for the residents of the Joplin area.
